Church Profile: Sunday morning attendance is between 300-350 people. Dress is diverse from casual to business casual, though you will still see some people wearing ties.
Beginning: From September through May, our Sunday begins at 9:00am with classes for adults, teens, children, and a nursery for infants. Our weekly corporate worship begins at 10:00 am and starts with announcements and a pastoral prayer.
Music: The music we sing at NWBC is a blend of old and new. We love the theologically rich hymns from past centuries and we love modern choruses and songs. The worship is intentionally congregational which emphasizes the fact that we are gathered together to sing together with one voice.
Service Body: During the service we not only sing together, we take time to read Scripture together, pray together, give our tithes and offerings together, and once a month we partake of the Lord’s Supper, usually on the third Sunday of the month.
Sermons: Preaching at NWBC is generally expositional, which means we seek to understand, explain, and apply the main point of a particular passage. The sermons are usually 30-45 minutes in length. Typically sermon series rotate between Old Testament and New Testament books. All of our preaching is centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ, the good news of God’s redemptive plan that is unfolded throughout all of Scripture.
Conclusion: After preaching there usually is a time of reflection which is concluded with a song. Services usually end around 11:30am but church members are frequently staying 30 to 45 minutes after the service to talk about the events of the week and sharing needs and praises with one another.
